Long established as a producer of table grapes, South Korea is not known for quality viticulture. Harsh winters and hot & humid summers have historically made winegrowing very difficult here. Despite challenges wine grapes have begun being plated across South Korea and by brave vignerons seeking to make wine on their home turf. Quality here is on the rise, and should further improve as wine continues to permeate Asian culture.
