This bottling, crafted from the Sierra Mar Vineyard by the pioneering Franscioni family of Roar Wines, is an immaculate example of this incredible region. It is well structured and extremely expressive, oozing soft tannin and pronounced acidity from its nearly full-bodied frame. Despite its amplitude this wine remains squarely in balance and never approaches sappy or cloying. It is is still very primary as its vintage would indicate and will benefit from a few years of cellar rest, but can still be enjoyed now in its youthful fortitude.
