2014 Monte Bello - Ridge Vineyards 

Crafted by legendary winemaker Paul Draper using a minimal intervention approach, the 2014 Ridge Monte Bello is composed of a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot from the Ridge estate vineyards in the mountains above Cupertino. 

This tight, backward, brooding wine is still so young but shows beautiful glimpses of what lies within. Unbelievably dense yet totally weightless, this wine reveals complex notes of black fruit, espresso, and menthol. While drinkable now with a long decant, we'd recommend leaving this in the cellar for 10-20 years before enjoying.
