2017 Tia - Tenuta Mosole

Green apple, wheatgrass, pink grapefruit. Persimmons, pickled ginger, discarded orange peel. Yellow bell pepper and underripe pear, tree bark and dry riverbed. Like a nature walk through green fields and orchards in late spring. This 2017 Tia by Tenuta Mosole is funky, fresh, and delectable.

Tai is an esoteric grape varietal found in the Veneto region of North-Western Italy. It has been known by a wide arrange of names but is most commonly referred to as Sauvignon Vert internationally. Sauvignon Vert has historically been confused for Sauvignon Blanc but the two grapes are actually not related despite numerous similarities. This bottling by Tenuta Mosole, made using grapes from the Eastern Veneto IGT just outside of Venice Italy, captures the subtle fruit and fresh green characteristics of the varietal with a nice touch of earth. This multidimensional wine has layer upon layer of interesting gusto without sacrificing quaffability.
