2014 Cirque - Law Estate Wines
Piercingly dark black fruit layered over green peppercorn and clove. Subtle notes of vanilla highlight the tremendously deep and pure fruit. 32% Tempranillo, 23% Mourvèdre, 23% Grenache, 22% Carignan come together to create the equivalent of Priorat and Ribera Del Duero's Californian step child. The 2014 Law Cirque is an enjoyable powerhouse.
Crafting wine from 100% estate fruit in the Adelaida district of West Paso Robles, Law Estate Wines is a producer to watch out for. Despite working with very young vines (the oldest of which were planted in 2008) Law is already producing deeply complex and interesting wines. The Napa-esque tasting room experience is also quite enjoyable.
