2014 La Encantada Vineyard Pinot Noir - Ken Brown Wines
Succulent strawberry, mossy forest floor, bing cherry. Fresh lavender, cranberry juice, dried crunchy leaves. Raspberry driven pinot funk with a rosemary sprig and a touch of mineral salinity. This 2014 La Encantada Vineyard Pinot Noir by Ken Brown Wines is earthy deliciousness hiding behind pure California fruit.
Ken Brown is one of the original pioneers of Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir. He has been making wine in the area since the 1970's and started his own label in 2003. His wines are classically styled and terrior driven without any added fluff or BS. His length of tenure and numerous connections have allowed him access to some of the most desirable fruit in the entire appellation, and his wines are not to be missed. Taste them in his unassuming little tasting room in Buellton and there is no way you will leave without at least a few bottles to take home. Ken Brown is a small producer doing big things in Santa Barbara County.
