2005 Riesling Jubilee - Hugel

Fresh squeezed lime, canned peach, haunting petrol smoke. Honeycomb, dried hay, juicy gooseberry. Electric acidity and a perfect balance between ripe fruit and racy zing. BONE DRY. Unbelievable depth and complexity that will make you wonder why you don't drink more Riesling. This 2005 Hugel Riesling Jubilee is insane in all the right ways.

The Hugel family has been making wine in Alsace, France since 1639, so it's safe to say they've figured it out by now. Made from 100% Grand Cru estate fruit from the Schoenenbourg vineyard in Alsace, this wine carries the highest possible pedigree - and it shows. The warm 2005 vintage allowed perfect ripening conditions and facilitated the creation of some magical wines. This is bottled electricity and you should absolutely seek this stuff out. It's that good!
