2017 Estate Chardonnay - Formaglini Vineyards
Meyer lemon, chamomile flower, juicy white peach. Fresh pineapple, powdered nutmeg, peeled tangerine. Blooming jasmine and sweet gardenias, fluffy sawdust and struck flint. Gala apple and nectarine comfortably fuse with honeysuckle and bright florals in a highly energetic and effortlessly perfumed bouquet. A very mild dusting of vanilla, clove, and salted caramel further augment the charming aromatics as a whiff of matchstick complements just a hint of pretty reduction. Exceptionally lean, tart, and crisp on the palate, graciously expressing stony minerality that is remarkably expansive in its length and breadth. Medium in body with elevated acidity; pure, layered, and wonderfully complex. This 2017 Estate Chardonnay by Formaglini Vineyards is an exciting and impressively precise single vineyard white from Oregon's Chehalem Mountains.
