NV Brut Nature Crémant de Loire Rosé - Amirault Vignerons

Organic strawberry, forest floor, peach skin. Squeezed lemon, orchard blossom, maraschino cherry. Intriguingly complex and layered waves of wild raspberry, honeycrisp apple, and shaved grapefruit peel highlight an energetic yet delightfully serious fruit core playfully enhanced by hints of fallen leaves, white mushroom, and a range of developing forest tones. Wafts of jasmine and hydrangeas softly reveal beautifully lifted floral charm tenderly interlaced with thyme, cardamom, coriander, and bits of lightly herbal spices. Notes of cheese rind and uncooked dough expose subtle autolytic influences while suggestions of flinty soil and clay loam provide gorgeous glimpses of captivating earthiness. Incredibly nuanced, finesse driven, and elegant on the nose with a palate that is equally interesting and delicious; exhibiting a wonderfully vinous quality and deep yet delicate concentration that drinks bone dry with moderate effervescence. Medium in body and carried by perfectly elevated acidity. This NV Brut Nature Crémant de Loire Rosé by Amirault Vignerons is a terrifically unique and infatuating sparkling wine from the Loire Valley.

Located along the banks of the Loire River as it cuts its way to Atlantic Coast from the heart of central France, the Loire Valley is one of France's most interesting and diverse winegrowing regions known to produce a wide range of high quality reds, whites, and rosés. This bottling, crafted by Amirault Vignerons using biodynamically grown Cabernet Franc sourced from within the Loire Valley, wonderfully captures the adventurous spirit found in this ancient yet exciting region. This wine possesses a surprisingly multidimensional flavor profile complete with a range of citrus, berry, and stone fruits overlayed with notes of delicate flowers, savory herbs, intriguing forest tones, and beautiful earthiness. The slightly wild and herbal qualities typical of Cabernet Franc do create quite an unexpectedly complex and cerebral side to this wine, yet it is still fresh and lighthearted enough to pair well with a wide range of food. Delicious.
